David and I loved getting to know Kylie and Matt. We started off the session at Hotel Covington and got to chat for a little while over drinks. We shot in the lobby and outside the hotel under the string lights before making our way to Smale Park for the second half of the session. At Smale, Kylie and Matt looked out at the bridge and the water and told us this is where they walk their chocolate lab Knox and sit on the swing from time to time. So sweet right?!

They swang for a little while and after a few minutes Kylie rested her head on Mattโ€™s shoulder and smiled. It was a perfect way to end the night. Enjoy ๐Ÿ’ซ

Sara reached out to me about an anniversary session with her and Larry in Chicago and of course I said YES! We just so happened to be in town for my birthday weekend so we spent time capturing these two getting tea and walking along North Ave beach. The Shipmans are a joy to be around and Iโ€™ve said it before but Iโ€™ll say it again: married life looks goooood on yโ€™all! Happy anniversary to Sara + Larry. Enjoy ๐ŸŒฟ

The Suciu family. These people are near and dear to my heart. Luke and Lauren are incredibly kind and helped David and I when we were in the midst of a really hard season. Their daughter Nora is both sassy and spunky and although their son Judah gave me lots of quizzical stares during this shoot, he is just as cute and sweet as she is. I loved how relaxed and honest their session was because that is exactly how they are: authentic, generous, salt of the earth. Enjoy ๐Ÿ’ซ

Rachael and Jeff reached out to me about family photos one weekend and we made a spur of the moment decision to shoot that very Sunday! Iโ€™m glad we did because we had beautiful light to work with and it was fun to see their little ones again. I photographed Annalise and James when Annalise was a tiny newborn. When I sent Rachael the gallery, she sent me the sweetest reply back:

โ€œYou did such a great job, I seriously could not be happier! I have lost count with the amount of times I have looked through them and have a new favorite each time! These pictures have reminded me just how blessed I am and how beautiful my family is. As a self conscious and critical of myself person I never love pictures of myself, however, I am 100% happy and content with all of these!  Thank you for all of the hard work that you and David put into them.โ€

So thankful for the opportunity to capture sweet families like this one. Enjoy! ๐Ÿ’ซ

Jake & Julia's wedding was fun and beautiful from start to finish. They were surrounded by family and friends who laughed, prayed for, encouraged and celebrated with them the entire day.

Julia chose to get ready at her childhood home and her bridesmaids, her sister Claire, her mom Ginger and pup Charlie were all present for the festivities. Once they arrived at the venue, Julia got into her dress and her bridesmaids prayed over her before the ceremony. It brought tears to my eyes to see her dear friends care for her so well. It is also a testament to who she is: beautiful, selfless, sweet and kind.

Jake and his groomsmen got ready at the chapel and took some hilarious groomsmen photos including a series where one groomsmen stood on his shoulders (!). Definitely the most creative groomsmen portrait I've ever seen. You already know I included it in the post ๐Ÿ˜œ

They said their vows at St. Clare chapel and it was a beautiful backdrop for their simple ceremony. As they entered into the covenant of marriage, it was clear they were full of joy and hope for the future and completely trusted their Savior Jesus Christ to lead them both. Julia's smile was radiant and Jake began to grin as she made her way down the aisle.

Their reception was full of donuts and dancing. They both lead Young Life and their YL friends made it one of the best dance floors I've ever been a part of. At one point Jake crowd-surfed and I'm so glad I caught it on camera #groomgoals.

Their sparkler exit was the perfect way to cap off the night and Julia gave her dad one final hug before she got into the car and waved as they drove off, together โœจ

David and I loved being a part of this incredible day and we are even more excited that we get to continue to be friends with Jake & Julia here in Cincinnati. Congrats to the beautiful couple. Enjoy! ๐ŸŒฟ

David and I loved spending a glowy summer evening with the Schuerman family. Beth and Sam were kind and easygoing and their little dude Gabe is just too darn cute. He and David were best buds by the end of the session which was really sweet (scroll to the end for proof ๐Ÿ˜Š). The light was beautiful and we got to capture some sweet memories for this family of three. Enjoy! ๐ŸŒฟ

Samantha and Fred are getting married this October! David and I really enjoyed getting to know them better at their engagement session at Devou Park. These two met while working together and Samantha described their relationship by saying: "We just click - we work well together, we know what the other needs before he/she asks for it. [Fred] always said we were together in a past life."

Another one of my favorite moments was when Samantha shared how Fred proposed.
"He got the kids together one night at home and said "Samantha, will you marry us?"

So honest and sweet, right!? Needless to say, David and I look forward to documenting their wedding day! Enjoy ๐ŸŒฟ

The Tharp family session was so much fun. My two older brothers are really good friends with Brent and Elizabeth so I've known them for years. Their two daughters, Emma and Ella are so stinkin' cute and really sweet. The girls clearly adore and trust Brent and Elizabeth and they were very affectionate towards them throughout the entire evening.

After pretty much every family session I shoot, I tell David how much I learn from the parents just by watching them love their kids well. This one was no exception. Enjoy โœจ

David and I had tons of fun with the Smith family: Sara, Adam, Owen (in grey), Elias (in blue) and little Aviana. Sara and Adam are so kind and very hands-on and intentional with their kids. The twins are precocious and I loved listening to them tell me about the summer adventures they had planned. They also adore their beautiful little sister Avi and blew bubbles for her at one point. Their post-session reward was ice cream and they invited us to join (we gladly accepted) ๐ŸฆEnjoy this sweet summer family session ๐Ÿ˜Š

Megan and Matt got to know one another over long conversations around a fire at Crooked Lake in Indiana. In Megan's words:

"Matt is a night owl, and I was working nights at the time so I was also used to being up late. We frequently were the last two awake in the campground and would stay up sitting around the campfire or going on a boat ride and talk.  We realized how much we related and connected with each other.  We started our relationship as friends.  I'm happy I get to marry my best friend!"

David and I laughed a lot during this session and I loved getting to know these two better. We started out at a local park and finished with a beautiful Indiana sunset in a field across the street from their house. Enjoy! โœจ

I loved getting to be a part of this stunning emerald + gold stylized shoot in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The models, Allie & Jared, were very kind and fun to work with and all of the incredibly talented vendors involved brought the vision to life beautifully! There were so many unique details and vibrant colors. I'll let the photos speak for themselves ๐Ÿ˜‰Enjoy ๐ŸŒฟ

David and I LOVED Karisa & Adam's engagement session. These two are so kind, easy-going and classy (just wait until you see the dress Karisa rocked ๐Ÿ˜). We started out at the stunning Hotel Covington in Kentucky, which meant we go to shoot with some dreamy string lights in the favorite. โœจ After that we explored the neighborhood and found a small patch that had an urban/desert vibe โœŒ๐Ÿป (so cool!) and then finished up at Eden park. There were some blooms and greenery that helped allll of my floral engagement dreams come true.

Karisa & Adam made my job easy, seriously. They have a really sweet and playful dynamic and David & I loved getting to know them better. Their smiles were contagious. I'm so thankful to have clients that make us feel like we've been friends for a while already. We are definitely looking forward to celebrating and documenting their wedding day in October ๐Ÿ˜Š

Enjoy some of my favorites from their engagement shoot below! ๐ŸŒฟ
